(Gone is the first brother to the sun)
It saddens me beyond words to tell you that our friend and brother, Caeru Dagger-Mortensen, has passed from this world and has journeyed onto the next. He died after a long illness on Sunday 14 May 2017 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
There will be a memorial held at Hinterland next weekend. Details are below.

And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding.
Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It and Other Stories
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
Over snow one winter's morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don't regret
Nor will I forget
All who took the road with me
Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
The night is falling
You have come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All Souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say
We have come now to the end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
